  • ECO FLASH MOB

    The shopping crowds from the largest shopping mall in Dorset, the Poole Dolphin Centre, were energised by

    S T Y L E F I E D ‘s explosive flash mob.

    Fifty dancers took their dance moves out of the studio and worked it in the atrium of the Dolphin Centre.
    Flash Mobs, popularly known by the T-mobile advert, have the ability to cause an uplifting reaction amongst a high volume of people, using the element of sheer surprise resulting in everyone being entertained and inspired.
    S T Y L E F I E D incorporated a twist; they added another component, the wearing of ethical fashion.
    The S T Y L E F I E D flash mob, was designed not only to energize and inspire participation in dance and exercise, but to recognize sustainable fashion design with the wearing of ethically produced organic cotton snoods.

    One of our main passions is to raise awareness and encourage sustainable design, fuelling a healthier attitude towards consumable fashion for a brighter future.

  • BRITAIN’S BRIGHT YOUNG ROLERS’

    StyleFied meet with DIVERSITY in their new studios in Rainham, to get an inside look in their wardrobe and brand new workshops.

    Diversity, the dance troupe captured Britain’s hearts with a triumphant win on Britain’s got talent in 2009. With their passion to inspire energy and creativity with their innovative choreography and use of unquestionable style.

    Diversity dance with a meaning,  spelling their inspirational messages with motion creating an explosive influential vision.

    Stylefied was luckily enough to take a sneak peek into the treasure chest, the  Diversity wardrobe. This was the place which contained all their outfits which were responsible for creating incredible visually tight formations on stage.  With a careful consideration in the design process, particular areas of the body are highlighted using colour blocks to lengthen lines and stretch shapes whilst in motion. After getting removed from the treasure chest….StyleFied was lead onto the Diversity dance floor to an intricate tutting workshop that certainly tested the participants mind body, and fitness. With workshop back to back, sweat was shaken off and minds was buzzed, a great stimulating workout for everyone. >see more

  • Mus.I.C.. Red Door or Blue door?

    S T Y L E F I E D was lucky to view the Mus.I.C by the  Jabbawockeez show, at the Monte Carlo,  Las Vegas in July 2011.

    Jabbawockeez is an all-male dance/hip hop crew from San Diego, California  who won the 1st season of the reality dance competition America’s Best Dance Crew.They are known for wearing plain white masks + gloves, to encourage audiences to focus on their movements as a group instead of on the individual .Their name is taken from the Lewis Carroll poem “Jabberwocky” Since 2010, the Jabbawockeez are pioneering their own show in Las Vegas;  Mus I. C

    Just like the worldwide literature of “Alice through the looking glass” by Lewis Carroll, The Jabbawockeez refuses to be defined by their dance  + fashion style as they continue to innovate through the music. It is the music, which is their muse that they see to create.  Cleverly annotated in the title of their show (MUS-IC).With a captivating story line, tells a modern twist about an individual taking his toll off his “planned path” into a world of powered by muse, told by electrifying music, fashion +movement.

  • NUCRU @ GFW2011

    With the new sponsor George coming on board this year hosting Graduate Fashion Week at Earls Court, it proved to be another successful year of showcasing fresh graduate talent, that nurtured innovation, design, forward thinking and diversity.

    The BBC was soon to pick up the creativity of the Universities Exhibitor’s stand designed by students and a number of interviews were conducted in front of the designer stands.

    F I E D apparel featured on the stand by freestyle dancers, designed by Jade Ireland a 1st Class graduate at the AUCB showcasing her new dance apparel range, entitled NUCRU, which was inspired by the London Olympics of 2012. The NUCRU range by F I E D includes an innovative print design that reacts with the body temperature whilst in movement; the freestylers were putting this innovation into action, by ‘popping’ their sharpest shapes.

  • MOVEIT 2 THE NEXT GEAR 2011.

    Stylefied sourced the freshest  fashion activewear styles from MOVEIT 2011; To inspire to get you in the next gear for Spring/Summer 2011 .

    MOVEIT , held annually at London Olympia,is  a leading dance industry event is an electrifying event featuring the top inspiring dance performers and crews in the UK, a huge spectrum of new dance classes and opportunity to shop in latest dancewear  brands.

    Relaxed looks are key this season, with high voluminous shapes, creating the freedom of movement.

    New silhouettes predicted for Spr/Summer 2012 by Peclers, a leading trend forecasting agency, forecasts a stretched torso, with a lengthening on hem line, and a continuation in the Harem trouser pant, as seen on Dancer 1(image left).

    Washed and distressed surfaces also remain popular during Spring time, however Summer 2011 predicts stronger more definite colour palette, as seen on  Dancer 2 (left).

    For the third consecutive season, Puma has partnered with Tank Design, a strategic branding and design firm based in Cambridge, MA, for their latest campaign.

    Puma incorporated Dance troupe Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, known for their modern, avant-garde work, creating a visually stunning explosive ad.

    “The ‘I’m Going’ campaign is consistently about innovation and emotion — you open a magazine and the ad literally jumps out at you,” said Antonio Bertone, Group Functional Director Brand & Marketing PUMA International. “The photos are about bodies, products, and colours — rather than pretty faces. The Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company was instrumental in making the campaign the huge success that it is.”
    “Ultimately the campaign is about the combination of energy and elegance,” says David Warren, creative director and founder of Tank Design. “The series of images abstracts the idea of being active in a way that is both visually arresting and sophisticated.” Read more.

    Funk The Buddha, an unique hip fusion of yoga and live Dj collaborations will be holding their first ever London event at the fabulous Frame studios in Shoreditch on Saturday 26th November 2011. This month Is everything LAN-DAN! That means our musical melodies to stretch and move to will all be home grown, club classics to dub step… even the golden oldies will pop up in there somewhere. The class will be lead by founder, dynamic yoga teacher, Rachel Okimo: Expect a hip holistic workout. Energising and inspiring you for the weekend to come with a heat building flow sequences to keep you strengthened and stretched. All levels are welcome, the class will be taught as an open level which means there are variations to keep every yogi happy!
